Definition
The level of precision of the lines in a halftone screen. It can be classified as "high" or "low."

Delamination
Refers to the separation between different layers of smooth cardboard.

Printing Density (synonyms: printing force – printing intensity)
Defines the visual effect of the amount of ink on the printed material. It is measurable with dedicated tools (densitometer or spectrophotometer).

Densitometer
It is the ideal tool for controlling print runs and creating company standards. The principle of operation of the densitometer is very close to the visual evaluation by the printer and measures the reflectance of a printed area. There is a saying that “the human eye is the best densitometer,” but technology is essential for achieving a consistent standard. More advanced tools, such as spectro-densitometers, allow compliance with ISO 12647 production standards and enable density and color control with a single instrument.

Design
The project of drawing packaging solutions.

Template
The template, also called a mask or form, is a shape, mold, or outline created to reproduce a spacing, the profile of an object, or the object itself. Templates can be used to adjust, prepare, and assemble different parts that need to be precisely calibrated with each other.

Dimensions
The dimensions of a package are indicated as: length (L), width (P), height (H), and always refer to the inside of the packaging itself, meaning they are 'usable measurements.' Length and width correspond to the distance between two opposite walls (when the package is assembled), and height corresponds to the distance between the internal flaps (when the package is closed). The regulations specify minimum tolerances.

Descaling
A treatment through which the separation - by flotation - of dry ink particles occurs in order to recycle printed paper before reinserting it into the paper or cardboard manufacturing process.

Display
It has many meanings, including the verb "to display," meaning to exhibit or show. In the paperboard industry, this term is used to refer to an ‘advertising display’ suitable for trade shows, meetings, high-traffic areas, or anywhere display and communication materials are needed.
